Unfortunately, I am fairly certain that it would not work. I like the idea but having a completely shoot match is almost impossible. To have a shoot match that anyone would want to watch is even harder. When my brother and I were younger and thought wrestling was completely real, we used to try to have matches just like them. The matches were just a lot of sloppy half moves and some kicking. We knew enough to know that the punching was fake. The point is that it was crappy and we never finished a match. They would literally last an hour and we would just both get tired of it. There are literally almost no professional wrestling moves that could be performed completely shoot. A chokeslam, for example, is not possible to accomplish without the help of the opponent. A clothesline MIGHT knock the opponent down but it is not going to look good and it will just cave in their rib cage. The main point of what I am trying to say is that it does not matter if you change some of the rules or not. To make a product that even resembles professional wrestling in any way shape or form yet is real is impossible for more than one reason.
References :
I'm also a big MMA fan and a high school wrestler, but i still love pro wrestling and have lately been thinking about starting a promotion when I'm older that is actually a sport, no offense, not entertainment that focuses on pro wrestling rules and moves, but is not predetermined or staged. I dunno if that's what you are thinking of, but I think it would be like mixing chocolate and peanut butter, the best of both worlds. ☻
References :
Well its not impossible but there is a very slim chance of success especially since you will be starting from scratch. You never know though...
References :
There is honestly a slim chance of you starting a federation. Especially if you are starting from scratch. People do it all the time, and fail your best bet is to get into one that is already started and buy a piece of it or something.
References :
IS IT POSSIBLE TO START A 100% REAL PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING PROMOTION?
IM ALREADY AN MMA FIGHTER AND IM GOING PRO SOON, BUT I LOVE PRO WRESTLING BUT I CANT GET OVER THE FACT THAT ITS FAKE, DO YOU THINK IF I CREATED A PROMOTION AND A PRO WRESTLING FIGHTING STYLE DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL, OBVIOUSLY ID USE RULES LIKE NO SPIKE MOVES, STAY IN RING, JUST BASIC STUFF LIKE THAT TO MAKE IT SAFE, PEOPLE WITH NO MARTIAL ARTS BACKGROUNDS COULD JOIN AND TRAIN IN NOTHING BUT FLASHIER MOVES LIKE THE CLOSE LINE AND CHOKE SLAM THAT CAN STILL DO DAMAGE, FIGHTS COULD END WITH SUBMISSION, AND PIN FALL, LIKE THE PIN FALL WOULD BE LIKE YOU KO SOMEBODY THEN PIN JUST FOR THE TRADITION OF THE SPORT, I KNOW IT SOUNDS DIFFICULT BUT I THINK IT COULD BECOME A MAJOR SPORT, I MEAN EVERYONE DOUBTED MMA AND ITS HUGE NOW, PERSONALLY I THINK IT COULD BECOME HUGE AFTER TIME, I JUST WANT PEOPLES OPINIONS AND ANY SUGGESTIONS IF YOU HAVE ANY ON HOW TO MAKE IT MORE TRADITIONAL BUT HAVE NO SCRIPTS, 100% SHOOT MATCHES ALL THE TIME
