Siofok on the south shore has great nightlife.The south shore is also more shallow and the north shore has much deeper water.
The water is great, very pure and blue, the enviormental agency in Hungary tested the waters and if you want, you can even drink the water.
Mostly only younger people go out to the nightclubs but during the day, it is a free for all with every age group everywhere on the lake. Hungarians are family oriented people that take the parents and grandparents out with them.
Lake Balaton is one of my favorite places on earth to spend my summer days.

What is the coolest place to stay around Balaton, Hungary to enjoy partying and nightlife?
I am looking for hostel or campsite around Balaton lake in Hungary. But I want the place to be cool and with good nightlife. No families with kids or retired people…you know what I mean?

I went to Florida for spring break last year, and I am looking for something similar in central/eastern Europe. I know Ibiza or Majorca will be probably best choice, but I decided to tour the east.
