Another internet business idea could work on a local basis in bringing together repair people with those needing work done around their home or business. Those involved in handy work can list their services online, by location and those in need of services can have a place to go to find someone to effect repairs around the house. It could even list appliance repairs and if a person is registered with manufacturers, they may even be able to offer warranty service.
This type of business could list such services as lawn care, driveway sealing and many other services people may find useful. Perhaps you need help setting up a new above ground swimming pool, a listing on an internet set may be helpful in finding someone with the time and experience to help.

I have really wanted to start my own internet business lately, but I dont have any ideas on what to sell or offer. Should I buy and resell wholesale items, and if so what would be a good item, or are there some services that i could offer. Most importantly how would i even start it? Would i need to start my own site, or sell on ebay?

First you really need to ask yourself how much interaction in the business you want to have. Are you wanting to spend a lot of time sourcing, listing, packing, selling, answering questions? It isn’t bad by any means, but you just need to be aware of the amount of work having a retail shop is. I’ve recently set up a shop on eCrater, it is free to list and free to sell..only PalPal and Google fees to pay….not bad! You can make money in a ton of other ways…check out my blog.

You can start in a number of ways…find a site like eCrater that is a shopping cart and site all in one..then set up a blog or other website that links to it…it is a lot of work, but also a ton of fun once you get going.
You could also have an online business doing something entirely different. I also have one that is basically selling financial info and business opportunities.
